We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced
individuals to join our team of IELTS Speaking
Examiners. You will need:
•
An undergraduate or Master’s degree or a
qualification which can be demonstrated to be
equivalent to an undergraduate or Master’s degree.
•
A recognised qualification in Teaching English to
Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) or recognised
equivalent as part of a recognised university award
course.
•
At least 3 years’ full time (or the equivalent part time)
relevant TESOL teaching experience (minimum one-
year post-certificate level qualification). The majority
of this teaching experience must relate to adult
students (16 years and over).
•
The required professional attributes and
interpersonal skills.

TEACHING VACANCIES:
Mayflower College is looking to recruit teachers for our busy
Summer season. You will be teaching groups of teenagers (13-
17) on our Junior Activity course. English levels are typically A2-
C1. The schedule consists of teaching morning classes each
day and leading afternoon activities. There is also some
weekend and evening work available by arrangement.
The ideal candidates will be resourceful, quick-thinking,
energetic and creative with excellent teaching, presentation and
organisational skills. You must be able to work under pressure
in a busy, quick-moving environment. Previous experience is
desirable though not essential and a recognised TEFL
qualification is required - preferably either CELTA or Trinity
College CertTESOL but other qualifications will be considered.
Competitive rates of pay are offered which are dependent on
experience / qualifications. On average, you can expect a
minimum of 15 teaching hours per week with 2-3 afternoon
activities.
