FACTS OF THE WEEK
Dolphin calves are typically born tail first, rather
than head first, so they don’t drown during the
birthing process.
The word "dude" originated in the 1800s as an
insult to men overly concerned with the latest
fashion trends.
The verb "unfriend" first appeared in 1659.
It took the editors of the first Oxford English
Dictionary five years to reach the word ‘ant’.

Expensive shoes, with the news that sandals
worn by Steve Jobs in the early days of Apple
sold for $218,750 at an auction in New York.
BAD WEEK FOR:
Police, who broke down the doors of a London
art gallery to save a woman slumped
unconscious over a table - only to discover she
was made of packing tape and foam filler. The
lifeless woman they had been trying to save
was in fact an art installation entitled 'Kristina'
which is on display at the London gallery.
Working less, which was found to be good for
business. During the large 4-day-week trials,
companies reported: increased revenue, reduced
absenteeism and lower staff turnover. The trials
required companies to pay 100% of salaries for 80%
of employees time. It seems to prove that
sometimes less means more.
