English is the common language of international Aviation.
But understanding different accents can be difficult, especially if you are not familiar with a specific accent.
For example, a French pilot speaking English sounds very different to a Chinese pilot speaking English. A US
controller from New York may sound very different to a UK controller from Scotland.
The good news is that we become better at understanding an accent the more we listen to it.
This site includes examples of a variety of non-native and native English speakers and trains you to understand a
range of accents.
