      This is a quality site with excellent resources, articles and a teachers' forum. It is set out in an efficient and user-friendly way and registration is free. Join now to access the very latest ideas and issues.
  • English Club
      Here is another super resource for teachers. This site is clear, concise and very user-friendly. It is frequently included in specific topic areas throughout this site. It is very popular with students.
  • English To Go
      This site produces some excellent material, all of it up to date. The lesson plans are very thorough and well designed. Guest membership is available in which you are given limited access to resources but you must pay a fee to become a full member.
  • English as a Second Language
      This is a superb site. It has everything a teacher could want. Log on and explore. Don't forget to register for the regular free newsletter.
  • Activities for ESL Students
      Here is yet another quality site for busy teachers. It is very extensive with substantial sections on many activities for ESL classrooms.

      Check out this superb multi-function resource site. Not only are there extensive sections on English Language Learning but also a host of sources on other curricular and subject interest areas .
  • Grammar Bytes
      This is an excellent site and fun to use. It is probably more suited to good intermediate level and above. It has lots of great handouts and covers difficult areas such as punctuation in spliced and fused sentences, plus much more.
  • English Exercises On-Line
      This is an excellent comprehensive site and is very well worth exploring.
  • Free Worksheets.com
      There are over 70,000 worksheets ready to download and print out here. They are primarily designed for junior level native speakers. However, there are plenty that can be of use to basic and elementary level students. Of particular interest are the phonics and language skills sections.
  • TESL-L Instructions
      TESL-L is 'the' language email list for those teachers involved in EFL. There are thousands of EFL teachers all connected to each other by email. You can't get to TESL-L directly from here, but it will tell you how you can subscribe through your email address.
  • TESL-EJ
      This is a heavyweight electronic journal with serious discussions on methodology and language acquisition theories. It is particularly concerned with computer related issues in these areas, but also includes more general articles.
  • SIL International
      This is more a linguistic site than a teaching one. However, it does have a host of free, good quality phonetic software and utilities for you to download. This is a particularly good place to find concordance software and phonetic fonts.
  • Dave's ESL Cafe
      This site has pages of activities, resources and links to other ESL resources. The chat rooms are particularly interesting. Students of all levels could find useful material and acitivities here.
  • Language Software
      This site has a large database of Computer Assisted Language Learning software. You will be surprised at the range of material available.
